Well it’s that time again…..the Christmas decorations come down and my house feels bare and ready for a change. What better way to do that with some pops of color from Pantone’s color of the year “Greenery”.
This years’ color lends to the ongoing trend of being more natural; all from what we eat to what we put on our bodies. The color exudes rejuvenation and life…..how suiting for a new year!
One of the easiest ways I’m going to incorporate this vibrant color is by adding some touches of ‘life’ in our home with some tropical plants and a few super low maintenance succulents. These setup well for me since most of my plants tend to have a pretty short shelf life!
This is a super easy and fun way to add a pop of color to any space. You can mix and match plant containers to add some personality to your room.
I wanted to add more of a statement piece so I purchased the perfect planter (I’ve had my eye on it for a while from West Elm) for a larger tropical plant. To ensure a longer life for my plant I purchased some tropical soil to plant it in which helps retain moisture! Hopefully it enjoys its new home since I love the way it turned out:)
There are so many options with this….I was at my local craft store yesterday and they had an endless number of cute planters and containers for this quick DIY. So have fun with it!!
